General Information

Launched in 2022, Mega Moolah Lucky Bells is one of the latest progressive slots in the series. Well-known for its four progressive jackpots, of which the Mega starts at 2 million, each Mega Moolah game is different in theme, and Lucky Bells takes us back to the classic days of slot machines.

Created by Gold Coin Studios, in partnership with Microgaming, this game is a five-reel, twenty-five payline slot. It features Free Spins with increasing Multipliers, as well as four potential jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major and Mega.

Let’s find out more about this classic slot experience, available on desktop and mobile at our online casino of choice, Platinum Play.

Lucky Bells Theme and Settings

This slot gives us old-school vibes, with classic fruit symbols that will remind you of 3-reel slots but in this case, it offers modern-day bonus features – essentially a game that offers something to all kinds of players.

As the game can be played on all compatible devices, the layout may be slightly different depending on the size of your screen. The game settings, however, can all be located to the right or at the bottom of the screen, and include the spin button, bet settings and a secondary menu that can be launched with the paytable and symbols. The four progressive jackpots, and individual totals, will be displayed at the top of the screen.

Lucky Bells Game Symbols

A classic game needs classic symbols, and this game doesn’t disappoint. The lower-paying symbols are fruit and include cherries, grapes, a plum and a watermelon – between 3 and 5 of these symbols can pay out anything from 5 to 100 credits when playing at max bet.

What is a slot without the bar symbol? The medium-paying symbols include a single, double and triple bar and can pay out between 20 and 700 credits, for 3 to 5 of these symbols. One of the highest-paying symbols is the gold seven, and at least two of them are needed on a payline to pay out 5 credits, however, getting five sevens on a payline can activate winnings of up to 1,000 credits.

As with most games, there is also a Wild symbol, which can stand in for other symbols, except the Bonus, Bell and Plus One – these symbols will be explained in the next two sections.

Lucky Bells Free Spins Feature

The Bonus is symbolised by a stack of gold coins, and 3 of these symbols landing on reels 1, 3 and 5 will trigger the Free Spins feature. During this feature, where 8 Free Spins are initially awarded, a Multiplier will be in play, which will increase by 1x after every spin. Even though the game starts with 8 spins, these can be unlimited as every Plus One symbol (one gold coin) that lands during the feature, will award 1 extra spin.

Lucky Bells Progressive Jackpots

We’ve discussed the Bonus and Plus One symbols, but what about the Bell, and how does this play a role in the progressive jackpots? The Bell is also known as a sub-symbol, as these can appear as a smaller symbol attached to a regular one. While they can appear at any time and with any symbol, should a Bell sub-symbol appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, it will automatically trigger the jackpot wheel.

Once the jackpot wheel launches, simply click/tap the spin button for a chance to win one of the four jackpots: the Mini and Minor starting at 10 and 100 credits respectively, the Major starting at 10,000 credits and the Mega jackpot starting at 2,000,000 credits.

Progressive jackpots will increase as real money bets are placed, as a percentage of each bet will contribute to the pot. Once a jackpot has been won, it will reset to the seeding amount. The slot pays out in Euro, so as a Platinum Player, the winning amount will be converted to the currency you’re playing in.

Lucky Bells Bet Sizes

The game has a minimum bet of 0.25 credits and goes up to a max bet of 25 credits per spin – bets can be changed after a spin has been completed.

Lucky Bells Big Winners

To date, no big winners for this specific game have been made public, however, it’s part of the Mega Moolah series of jackpots, which has paid out millions in the last few years.
